#01, Antique Bamboo Fly Rod

I'm not a collector of bamboo fly rods, my passion is fishing them, repairing them and reconditioning them to improve their action. Here is an interesting bamboo fly rod made in Japan that I obtained planning on reconditioning it. It's pre-world war 2 unlike the thousands of post-war rods that were brought back by the GIs. This rod has the "Viking" and the "Made in Japan labels. This rod is eight ft in length, consisting of 3 sections (8 ft, 3, #6). I have just finished stripping the rod and refit it with line guides in accordance with today's standards improving the action. This rod was made somewhere between 1922 & 1942. I am including a cotton sock to keep the rod clean and dry.
