Broadstrike: The rim is wide, flat, and lacks reeding, a clear sign the coin was struck without the retaining collar.
Doubled Die Obverse (DDO): Clear doubling is visible on the obverse mottoes, including "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST."
Doubled Die Reverse (DDR): Doubling is also present on the reverse, particularly on the mottoes "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA."
Die Breaks: A prominent die crack is visible in the number "8" of the date and on the eagle's leg. There is also a rim break and a die chip on the eagle's head.
Grease-Filled Die: The "P" mint mark is filled in, a result of the die being clogged with debris.
Advanced Die State: The surface of the coin shows an unusual, textured appearance, indicating it was struck from a die in a very advanced state of deterioration.
