90's POLO Harrington G9 Baracuta Jacket, M/L

Coat is a 90's navy blue Ralph Lauren Harrington jacket. Although the style was introduced in the 30's, by Baracuta of England, it gained popularity in the 50's when worn by James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause . And more notably, in the 60's when worn by Rodney Harrington from the soap Peyton's Place . Thus adopting its Harrington nickname from that time forward. Also, its classic, perhaps bad boy style status, was yet underscored again in the 80's by its incorporation into the wardrobe of iconic punk rocker Joe Strummer. It is also referred to as a G9 (Golf, 9 holes). They are commonly known to have a Fraser Tartan (checkerboard pattern lining). This one doesn't have a plaid tartan, but yet a cool, distinct, & very period cotton grid pattern lining. In addition it has signature Polo embroidery, hardware, & buttons.
