Antique Spice Box

This lovely antique metal Spice Box with Stenciled Cannisters is a wonderful example of a charming household item from a bygone era. The outside of the box is very worn and chippy, indicative of its age, with some stencils still showing through on the front and top of the box. But the real gems in this piece are the lovely stenciled canisters inside the box. These spice canisters, with the exception of one, all have the name of the spice, and the lovely floral stencil still intact. The stencil is in the art deco style. The names on the spice canisters are: allspice, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg‘s and one blank one.I love the juxtaposition of the primitive style with the art deco stencils.Super sweet. It’s rare to find a set like this still in tact, a lovely collectible set which can be enjoyed for years to come.Dimensions: 9 inches wide by 6 inches, with a height of 4 inches.
