Antique tooled leather traveling tool case dating to the late 19th / early 20th century

(circa 1880–1910), constructed with a rigid wooden core wrapped in hand-tooled leather

and fitted with original brass hardware.

The exterior features deep floral tooling with geometric border designs typical of

Victorian-era craftsmanship. The case retains its original leather handle, hinges,

and latching hardware. Interior includes original leather-lined compartments, straps,

and pockets intended for tools or professional travel instruments.

Condition is consistent with significant age and long-term use:

• Heavy surface wear and patina throughout

• Noticeable leather shrinkage and cracking on the top panel near the handle mount

• Leather remains firmly attached to the wooden core with no active rot observed
