A dirty or clogged filter reduces the efficiency of your dehumidifying equipment and may cause overheating and shutdown. Maintain peak performance of your dehumidifier or ventilator by following the recommended maintenance schedule. Every 6 months, or when the Clean Filter service reminder lights up on your AprilAire unit, remove and wash or replace the filter. Filter can be washed with water and mild detergent.
