Vintage Reverse carved Bakelite & Lucite Balalaika lute brooch.
The arm of the Lute is made of black bakelite and the body is clear reverse carved lucite. It is all original down to the wire strings and it has an old "C" clasp closure. This pin is part of the pair called ”Banjo" and "Balalaika”.
A design carved into material into glass or lucite is called Intaglio. This one is reverse carved
It measures 4” long by 1¼”
