Adam Byczkowski aka Better Person presents his debut solo EP (including his critically acclaimed singles Sentiment and I Wake Up Tired), following tours with Canadian bands TOPS and Timber Timbre and a stint as keyboard and guitarist with Sean Nicholas Savage. While the EP's sonic touchstones - torch songs, Sade, Arthur Russell, synthed-up European and Japanese pop from the '80s, French and Italian movie soundtracks - are all unimpeachably romantic, there's an undercurrent of isolation that stems from it's home-recorded nature. It's epitomized in closer Your Smell, which blends beautiful confusion with a tragicomically funky shuffle.
