With a distance of 10,000 miles between Nikki (in Melbourne, Australia) and the rest of the band (in Bergen, Norway), 2020 didn't quite go according to plan. After original plans to record in Norway had to be put on hold, the band decided to record the new album remotely in January 2021; all music was recorded in Norway, while Nikki recorded vocals in a local studio as soon as regional restrictions permitted.
