This Bruce Johnson Copper Flash Raku Pottery 'Pot' (as he refers to it) or Vase Stands 11" Tall.
This beautiful handmade piece is signed in gold on the base and comes with a two-sided pamphlet from the Johnson's studio.
The base of the vase has a matte, almost soft-feeling finish that shouldn't be washed - just soft-brush cleaned. The coloring is visually attention-getting and unique!
It is suggested that a water filled container should be used inside if you wish to use it as a vase.
In excellent preowned condition with no damage.
“Copper Flash” Raku is created by applying a “copper matt” glaze to the bisque-fired clay. Each glazed piece is returned to the kiln until the proper temperature is reached. One by one each pot is removed from the kiln with tongs and immediately submerged in a container filled with combustible materials (such as sawdust and/or shredded paper.)
