Stunning pink Capiz Shell egg. The Capiz shell originates from the windowpane oyster. The shells have been used for thousands of years because of their durability and translucence. A rare and unusual find. There is a pearlessence and iridescence to the shells. To make this egg the shells are slightly crushed formed and then grouted to make the desired shape. Very fine workmanship.
You will need to use a stand or lay the egg on its side. Almost any stand will do from a simple ring to a decorative piece. Stand is not included.
