Amazon.com CenDyne's 16x10x40 internal EIDE CD-RW drive (PC only) stores up to 700 MB of data quickly and safely to CD-R and CD-RW discs. With speeds up to 40x read, 16x write, and 10x rewrite, and a quick disk-access time of 120 milliseconds, this drive can easily work as both your primary CD-ROM drive and backup device. Using a 2 MB buffer, the CenDyne is capable of disc-at-once, track-at-once, and packet-writing methods. The drive uses an enhanced-IDE (ATAPI) interface to provide the fastest and best quality throughput to the rest of your computer for excellent digital copies of your files. The CenDyne is compatible with PCs and comes with the CenDyne CD Mastering software that allows you to write, rewrite, store, and transfer information to CD-R and CD-RW. Requirements for the CenDyne include a Pentium 200 MHz or faster processor, Windows 98 or higher, 32 MB of RAM, 75 MB hard-disk space (for recording software), an available EIDE port (audio and data cable included), and an available 5.25-inch bay. CenDyne provides a one-year parts-and-labor warranty on the 16x10x40 internal drive.
