Anchors away with this vintage silver-plated sugar shaker from the Cunard White Star Line. The owned the Titanic and Olympic passenger ships, among many others.
This “Plain Pine” pattern was especially designed for the Queen Mary at time of service in 1936. This rare piece is Chester Silver Plate as opposed to the usual Elkington examples available.
The underside is marked: Cunard White Star AI Chester 4733 along with some other numbers I cannot mark out.
In good used condition with original patina. The top screws and unscrews smoothly and fits tightly. The top pouring mechanism also works properly. The only significant condition issue is that the base is a little bent and does not sit completely flat and can wobble just a bit. This could likely be corrected by a good metal restorer if desired.
Measures approximate height is 6” tall x 3” in diameter.
