D & Co Limoges Daffodil Hand Painted Vase. Deliniers & Co, a collaboration of L. Bernardaud and R. Deliniers since 1890's, produces porcelain in Limoges, France. Along with many other manufacturers in the Limoges region, the factory produced the D&Co brand including signed 'blanks' during the peak years of Limoges in the late 1800's The daffodil bouquet painted vase, most likely from the American cottage industry, shows white petaled flowers in beautiful vivid colors with shadowing against a pastel blue sky. The daffodil, associated with Spring, is one of the most loved English plants and is a symbol for cancer charities around the world. A wonderful gift to welcome Spring.
An estate find, the vase is in very good vintage condition with no chips, scratches or flea bites noted. The green D&Co stamp on underside.. Gilt rim is in good vintage condition. Minor shelf wear on bottom rim.
Measures approx. 11 1/8 H; 2 opening.
