Deep-Vue Like Life 3D Stereo slide viewer RARE

Very Rare first edition of the Like Life Stereoscopic viewer. Life Magazine wasn't happy with Deep-Vue over the Logo and they had to change. The second edition is a cream color. These were originally included with some slides for Kitchen Appliances; this was a sales tool. Any Stereo Realist (5 porf) can be used. I have an example in one of my photos. The viewer uses an E10 light bulb (included) and 2 x D batteries (not included). The view works. There are no controls other than the focus. The viewer only lights when a stereo realist type slide is inserted. I used cardboard, no idea of the plastic ones will fit.

***Note(s). The original white paper board reflector was missing, so I patterned and made my own out of paper cardstock. The focus didn't work well so I lubed it with lithium grease and now it works smoothly. Please note the lenses are plastic and not achromatically corrected glass. Image quality is good, but not quite professional level. All in all, a nice rare little viewer.
