This hat is stunning. It consists of a round crown that comes to a slight peak at the center, and it has an asymmetrical brim turned up at the front, tapering down towards the back. there is s black grosgrain band around the crown and under the brim at the front. There is a black grosgrain bow at the back. At one side, there is a creme colored grosgrain bow that holds a fold in the brim. there is an elastic band attached to keep the hat in place. Just beautiful!Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting.There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
