Uses 4 Duracell Power Boost AAA batteries and surprisingly, the calculator worked. Th printing is faint but still legible. Included are a cover for the calculator, a quick guide booklet, a large user guide book & extra refill paper. Designed to be easily a& comfortably portable. There is a blue powder substance around the contacs, however it does not seem to be a corrosive, because the calculator still works. This is a nice fun electronic device from the 1980’s, for people who have an interest in old technology or just like to play around with it. It is also educational & practical.
