EMX OWL Microwave Motion & Infrared Technology Presence Sensor Detection

The OWL is a vehicle motion and presence sensor that uses microwave and infrared technology to activate automatic doors and industrial gates. Featuring two configurable outputs, one for vehicle motion detection and the other for presence detection, the OWL provides a convenient means for activating a door and keeping it open, ensuring the safety of people and goods. The microwave motion sensor’s maximum detection area is ~ 23 ft (7 m) long by 19 ft (6 m) wide at a mounting height of 21 ft (6.5 m). The OWL can prevent unnecessary door openings by using traffic filters to prevent the detection of departing vehicles, and vehicles moving parallel to the door. The infrared presence sensor’s maximum detection area is ~ 18 ft (5.5 m) long by 26 ft (8 m) wide at a mounting heigh of 21 ft (6.5 m). Utilizing a pair of highly customizable infrared LED arrays, the OWL’s presence detection can keep people and vehicles safe from unintentional door closings.
