This is a German-made Voigtländer Vito C with a Lanthar 2.8/50 lens. The Vito C is a 35mm film camera manufactured between 1960 and 1967.

The early Vito C models were equipped with the Lanthar 2.8/50 lens before switching to the Color Skopar 2.8/50, so this is an early Vito C. Although it's a classic camera from about 60 years ago, it shows very little signs of use and is in excellent condition both externally and mechanically.

Speaking of Lanthar, Voigtländer's APO-LANTHAR represents the pinnacle of their optical technology. Is the Lanthar in this listing a precursor to that? Because the glass is so clean, I'd like to remove just the lens and modify it to try out the original Lanthar's image quality with a digital camera. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills to do that, so I'm listing it.

<Condition>
・Appearance: Almost no signs of use, with no scratches, dents, or corrosion. The leatherette is also clean, and the condition is excellent (see images). (There are one or two minor scratches.)
・Optics: Clear, with no dust, cracks, scratches, or mold. Only a small amount of fine dust can be seen with transmitted light, which is also in good condition.
・Viewfinder: Large and clear, with no scratches, cracks, dust, or haze. However, there is a slight balsam separation, resulting in a little rainbow color (image 3Akamaru). Since it's only slightly colored, it won't affect actual shooting.
・Shutter: B to 1/250. Each speed changes and fires at the appropriate speed.
・Aperture: Opens and closes smoothly. The blades are also clean.
・Film winding, rewinding, and opening/closing of the back cover all function smoothly.

As a 60-year-old, excellent condition classic camera, you can enjoy film photography.
If you have the skills, you can remove the lens and modify it to enjoy the Lanthar 2.8/50.
How about having it in your hands?
