Four (4) Coltsfoot/Butterbur Perrenial Starters

Listing is for four (4) fresh rhizomes which will continuously spread out in as large an area as you will allow it to grow. It prefers shade/very partial sun.

Butterbur (Petasites hybridus) is a hardy perennial. I live in Zone 5b and it returns annually without an issue.
Its large leaves were used to wrap butter during warm weather, giving it the name "butterbur".
Petasites is a genus of flowering plants in the sunflower family, Asteraceae, that are commonly referred to as butterburs and coltsfoots. They are perennial plants with thick, creeping underground rhizomes and large rhubarb-like leaves during the growing season.
