This is an Anteos menippe, commonly known as the Orange-tipped Angled-Sulphur butterfly which is from Mexico to S America
It’s in a riker mount frame which is 5.5 x 4.5 inches.
PLEASE NOTE: a Riker mount display case is NOT the same as a shadowbox. It is made of extra heavy chipboard construction with a black leatherette cover, and polyester filling for cushioning. The glass topped lid is held in place with extra heavy duty, non-rusting pins that are inserted into the longest side of the display. The pins and lid can be easily removed. The butterfly is not glued into place, and can be removed from the case or repositioned if desired. A riker mount offers added protection to the insect due to its design. It's also easily stackable for storage.
It is recommended to keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity to limit fading of the butterflies over time and for overall longevity.
