This GE portable 8-track player has a bad speaker. It does work fine when using the earbud. See video. Here is the link to the you tube video. It was too long to post directly here. Let me know if you have problems viewing it.

Sold as-is for parts or repair. The unit is physically in good shape with light wear. When the earbud is used the player works fine. All four programs switch smoothly and easily. However when the earbud is out, no sound comes out of the speaker. It likely has dry rot or is otherwise bad.
Battery compartment is clean. Cord is in good condition. Original earbud was inside the battery compartment and is included. 8-track tape is not included.
