These interlocks are precision CNC machined from 6061T-6 aluminum, surface finished, and finally, color anodized for corrosion protection and smooth operation for life. They look professional and they make the installer look professional. There are no sharp edges or plastic components on the assembly like you find on similar kits. The GE-3 Interlock Kit fits General Electric (GE) panels that have a single vertical throw main breaker and 2 1/2" spacing between the closest edge of the main breaker cut-out and the closest edge of the generator breaker panel cut-out. Please see the attached photos. This interlock kit meets the requirements of Article 702 of the National Electric Code ANSI/NFPA 70. NEVER back feed a breaker panel without installing a generator breaker interlock kit. Doing so could easily energize utility lines with very high voltages that could easily be lethal to a lineman, utility worker, or even a neighbor. Be safe and do the right thing.
