The New US Army ECWCS Generation III (GEN III) refers to a system composed of 7 types of tops and 5 types of bottoms that can adapt to various climates and situations.
This Level 7 is the final outer layer for layering and insulation, and PrimaLoft is used as the inner material. It's a high-tech material made of polyester, said to be about 8 times warmer than down.
The main feature is that, unlike down wear, there are no feathers to come out, and it doesn't require much care. It's machine washable, lightweight, and has a soft texture.
If the waterproof and breathable properties are reduced due to dirt, the function will be restored by washing.
