This quartz specimen is a personal find from an old gold mine in Rutherdordton North Carolina, home of Americas first gold rush and the Bechtlers mint first gold mint in America. Has alot of character with gold coming out of its crevices. It weighs 8.3 grams. The streak test confirmed gold and the nitric acid results conclude purity is above 18k.
Gold content calculations show specimen as having aproximately 3.68 grams of gold. Formula is very accurate but these numbers are aproximate not exact.
