Original signed book first edition 25/70 Nederlands / English Photography Graphic design First edition Photography: Evie Ellen Lippens Graphic Designer: Nina Schouten KASK Gent Werkplaats Typografie Arnhem When you reach It, it Becomes Elusive from the Blind Spot project: Blind spot refers to the universal fact that every person has a blind spot. This place lacks photo-receptors, so no visual information can be received. Here we are essentially blind, but we do not experience this as such. Our brains complete the missing piece of the image by the surrounding information. This proves that the brain is capable of filling things in for us. Blind Spot is analogous to this fact. It is a search for different techniques and processes of image-making, that adress the wonderful interaction between looking and imagining.
