Hermès Scarf

Philipe Ledoux joined Maison Hermès in 1947 and created 90 scarf designs during his tenure with the house. "Jumping", a popular equestrian-themed arrangement, hails from 1971 and was reissued in 1975. The design features six horses, the riders atop them clearing imagined obstacles with the majestic equines under their control. Each corner displays a saddle; and there are three ribbons, a central vertical bridal, and buckled straps rounding out the concept. Though there are a couple of flaws (please examine photos 10 and 11 carefully) they are not noticeable when the scarf is tied. The silk remains buttery soft and drapes beautifully. Hues of pale pink, off white, muted orange, and a sort of taupe make this scarf versatile. I've enjoyed wearing it in every season and with a variety of colors.

This carré measures approximately 90 cm (35 in), has its original tag attached (bottom right corner of photo 9) and will come to you in an Hermès box with acid free paper.
