Hong Rubinstein is an Award-Winning California Ceramicist. Her works are sold through exclusive art shows on the West Coast of the US.
A crystalline glaze uses a special firing process to actually grow crystals in the glaze surface, this is achieved by rigourlessly controlling the temperature during the firing process. The chemistry of crystalline glazes is an esoteric subject with no potter usually willing to divulge their glaze recipes.
