Intel TS15A Active Thermal Solution

The Intel BXTS15A is an active thermal solution created for builders who need dependable cooling for Intel processors that use LGA 1151, LGA 1150, or LGA 1156 sockets. It handles sixth generation Skylake chips up to 130 W TDP and remains fully compatible with many fourth generation Haswell processors.

A fan that measures 94 mm sits at the center of the heatsink and adjusts its speed automatically through PWM control. It can spin as low as 1000 rpm during light workloads and climb to 3850 rpm when the processor is under heavy stress. At a typical 2100 rpm the cooler produces about 25 dBA of noise, and even at full speed it tops out at 40 dBA, so an office workstation or living room PC stays reasonably quiet.

Intel’s Keep Out Safe design keeps the cooler inside the clearance zone around the CPU socket, so tall memory modules and nearby motherboard heatsinks are not blocked. A standard four pin connector plugs into the CPU fan header, letting the motherboard manage fan curves with no extra software or adapters.

This solution is a solid fit for home desktops, small business systems, and general purpose workstations that run at stock clock speeds. It installs quickly, runs quietly, and keeps temperatures in check without the bulk of a tower style heatsink.
