Although newer iPod models like the iPod (Click Wheel) and iPod mini also have a Dock connector, the iPod (Dock Connector) is equipped with a touch wheel instead of a click wheel, and has four control buttons lined up above the touch wheel. The iPod (Dock Connector) is the 3rd generation iPod model.
