Magnum Photos is known as the world's leading photo agency.
Founded after World War II by Robert Capa and others, this legendary group of photographers has captured all sorts of developments since its inception, revealing turning points in history.

This book presents for the first time 139 valuable contact sheets by photographers affiliated with Magnum, who have created numerous historical masterpieces.
Contact sheets (also known as "contact prints") have been used as records for photographers, as editing tools, and as indexes for storing negatives. They are the first place to see what the photographer captured on film, recording their unique approaches and how an image was constructed.

From Robert Capa's Normandy landing, Josef Koudelka's Prague invasion, and Thomas Dworzak's Chechen conflict, to René Burri's Che Guevara and Eve Arnold's Malcolm X – the episodes behind the creation of masterpieces that remain in the history of photography and photojournalism are revisited with sequences that seem to capture the photographers' emotions and struggles, along with words from the artists themselves or those involved.
