Vintage early 1970s MAILORDER printed Pattern number 4919 size 38 miss/women CAFTAN pattern. If you look at the pictures, you will see that these patterns looked the same as what one would purchase in the stores with the brand names of McCall's or Simplicity. Tissue paper patterns, you have to cut them from the sheets, and you have instructions of how to put the garment together. Many times, the instructions are just as good, if not better, in explaining the steps, as what we get now. So, a size 38 would have a bust measurement of 42"; a waist measurement of 35" and a hip measurement of 44" . So, compare to a recent Simplicity pattern, a 42 inch bust would be size 18 to 20. This is a rare,out of print pattern
