This beautiful Malachite cabochon has great distinct bands and sworls cut into unique sweeping shapes. It has a medium low dome, and girdled sides. This one-of-a-kind green treasure is ready to be set in your next creation.
Malachite is named for the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb. The light and dark green banded designs are one-of-a-kind, and give it a unique unlike any other stone. The banding is formed from subtle changes in the oxidation states of the surrounding pore waters.
