I have found out that when both my personal life as well as the world we all live in… feels unreal, unfair, and uncontrollable I want nothing to do with a traditional representation of figures, color, shapes, and clear objects.
This is one of the most abstract minimal pieces I have ever done. I do believe that this isn’t just paint splattered on a canvas but also thick layers of paint covering every painting under it.
It’s a painting of a city scape but what the viewer sees, brush strokes on a canvas. The painting unederneath told a story and meant something to me. But the painting you see is the end of the road for this canvas. It is the last painting I will paint on this canvas. The other work underneath it matters and is important but will remain unseen.
