The toploader is known for its simplicity and reliability with playing games immediately, as opposed to the front loader that almost always have problems with the pin/drawer setup. This system has been well tested and works great.
Professionally modified to output Component (YPbPr/RGB), S-video, and Composite by connecting through the Voultar multiout used on the SNES/64/Gamecube (instead of the factory RF only). Stereo expanded audio and power-on LED were also beneficiaries of this system enhancement.
