Noritake made in Japan Castella design rare butter dish 2 pieces excellent condition Mark: "M" for Morimura in a wreath, crowned by "NORITAKE" and below, "Made in Japan". The use of the "M" gives a date before 1953 when the long used "M" in a wreath was replaced with a "N" for Noritake. This dates this dish before 1953 after 1923 I cannot find another example of this type of Dish. Now made as a covered dish. Not good for microwave because of gold trim
