Painting

Honestly, I was inspired by humanity in general. Over the years we have been fed so many different lies and truths. And we have accepted them all and based our lives around them. This painting shows the act of consumerism, physically, mentally and spiritually. We latch onto whatever they say is “good” and “beneficial” even if we know it isn’t. So I hope this piece speaks to you and encourages you to pave your own way.
I used acrylic paint because it brings out the color better. I also used sharpie for the eye to give it a plastic look. I also used matte varnish with the paint to give it a bland but bold look. And then a setting and high gloss finish. This piece was made on a canvas. I made it an abstract piece to push the concept but also give viewers a chance to give their own interpretation.
