I bought this for my daughter, to me these colors are unisex :) we just ended up not using it before she outgrew it.
I will add for us this style always ran a tad smaller (in length/sleeve length) than the Patagonia down jackets or the snowsuits, and my daughter is slim - so this is a true 5T, in my opinion.
