“Raf Simons is one of the most influential designers today. Previously working under Walter Van Beirendonck, Simons has made a name for himself utilising graphic prints, oversized silhouettes and the ultimate teenage dream. This collection, ‘Youth in Motion’ is inspired by the movie Christian F., a biopic that caused controversy of its notorious depiction of drugs. Also inspired by the Cookie Mueller and Glenn O’Brien’s ‘lost’ mid-1980s tragic-comic play Drugs, Simons uses the two cautionary tales and considers the persistent, almost ubiquitous presence of narcotics within our society and acknowledge our often conflicted relationships with them.
These pants are in excellent like new condition. However, the last owner was a damn fool who didn’t know what he/she had. There were sharpie marks all over the patches when I found these jawns❗️This does mean I had to paint over them best as I could in an attempt to restore them.
