Rare 1999 Funimation FLCL Takkun the Cat Shirt. The extremely rare shirt is hard to find. The size large on the tagless Official FLCL label measures about 20" from pit to pit and about 26" from collar to waist. The grey short-sleeve shirt is simple in design. In the anime series FLCL, Takkun is a small, black stray kitten found by Mamimi Samejima, who cares for the cat temporarily, giving him the name "Takkun," which she also uses as a demeaning nickname for the protagonist, Naota Nandaba. Takkun is a symbolic representation of vulnerability and abandonment that Mamimi attempts to nurture. The cat's ability to find its own place in the world mirrors Naota's own path to maturity and independence from Mamimi's emotional dependence.
