Fabulous Burmese Antique hand embroidered silver metallic thread tapestry. The tapestry depicts a wild animal scenery in a forest. Each animal and tree have been skillfully embroidered. You can appreciate peacocks with embedded purple silk threads. Palm trees embroidered in a filigree design style, yews with embedded green, burgundy and yellow silk threads, deer, elephants, flowers and fringe border all embroidered with silver metallic thread.
Absolutely stunning! Very rare find!!
It measures approximately 33.5" long x 19.5" wide.
Condition: in Excellent condition. There are a couple of small dark spots on the light beige silk background.
