I uncovered this rare 1-3 million years old Honey Calcite Crystal Fossilized Clam from the only known source in the world, Rucks Pit in Okeechobee, FL.
The site is owned & operated by world renowned geologist Eddie Rucks! Eddie is absolutely brilliant. I cherish the infrequent moments I get to dig alongside him because he shares his knowledge and personal stories. I’m also grateful he allowed me to see his personal rock collection!
Every visit begins with a warm welcome from “Donk”. Eddie rescued an infant donkey in South America some years back and he now guards and greets visitors of Ruck’s Pit(farm).
