This design is shown on page 76 in the book Copper Art Jewelry; a Different Luster by Matthew L. Burkholz and Linda Lichtenberg Kaplan. Above the photo of the set reads a quote: This bracelet by Renoir of California dates from the late 1940s. It demonstrates the company's initial geometric styles and handmade production techniques. All pieces are marked "Renoir" in script.
The bracelet is backed with aluminum which dates the set between 1947 - 1950. During the Korean War, copper supplies dwindled and precluded using copper for larger pieces. A bonded sandwich of copper and aluminum was substituted during those years, but the bonded copper-aluminum was short-lived since it was unpopular with customers. By the end of the Korean War, the bonded pieces were no longer produced.
