No. Chips, no cracks!! This is a unique design, gorgeous, and most designs are birds or scrolls. This is a large vase and extremely heavy, so I will pack well.. The silver polishes up, but I didn't want to touch its old and was my Grandmothers. It came with a note rare real silver ,she bought in early 1900's valuable. Front says Sterling. And rareness and value. Thank you measures: 11.6 x 7 approximately.
