Salem Brass Ships Clock/Barometer Wall Mount Combo German/Switzerland

BEAUTIFUL PIECE- handsomely crafted and mounted. 2 precious brass ship time pieces. The top in a Zell Bros. Salem clock made in Switzerland. Marked eight day, 15 Jewels. The bottom piece is the Salem Barometer- made in Germany. Brass pieces measure aprox 8 and 5.5 on the baromete and clock, respectively. The wood piece measures aprox. 23x13.5, with the top end tapered to 10.5 inches

The clocks runs by winding, and the key is attached.

Not sure if this frame is original or custom made this way. One corner is not tightly jointed, 1/8 gap. The lid opens up. (see photo). The key fits in the clock hole, I wound it a half a turn, and did not hear any clicking, so Im not sure if it works, but I do not want to overwind it and do damage, Not to familiar with barometer movements. It has moved, but not much.
The frame is solid, but that is wood front is simulated vinyl, the white part is painted wood.
