The pinholes and/or intricacies in the enamel do not affect the integrity or performance of the item. The item is completely safe to use, and the intricacies will not cause any issues in the future. This also does not affect the safety or performance of the cookware in any way. Each piece is analyzed by Le Creuset's quality control team before being packaged and shipped across the world
