For use with copper and cPVC only. Slip fittings simplify repairs and connections by doing the job of two fittings and extra pipe. Only one end of the fitting's slip section has a stop, allowing the other end to slide further onto the end of a pipe. A small section of pipe is removed to install a slip fitting. Then push the long end of the fitting's slip section onto the pipe. Use a disconnect tool to press against the release collar on the long end of the fitting and at the same time, push the slip fitting onto the other pipe end to a depth of one inch.
