Beautiful Siberian Emerald, also called Chrome Diopside, natural Earth mined with no treatment.
The chrome diopside stones total 2.92ctw, are all natural various size faceted rounds that are bead set rhodium. The white topaz total 2.24 ctw and are bright clear baguettes that are prong set in Sterling Silver.
The setting is Sterling Silver .925 with a fancy finished under gallery. Marked STJ .925. Condition: Excellent, all stones secure, no wear.
Chrome diopside has several origins, but most of the finest material, and the only commercially viable deposit, is in the Republic of Sakha in Siberia, Russia. Production of this Siberian treasure is sporadic due to extreme winters that last more than eight months. The vivid greens of chrome diopside are a welcome alternative to rare and pricey emerald or tsavorite garnet.
