Do not force to insert into the soil, when meet resis-tance, try another spot. Do not leave the moisture meter into the soil for long time. After use, please wipe the probe clean. Soil meter needle does not move? The soil test meter have varying sensitivity to soil conditions,the electrode can't detect the data when the soil is dry,loose,or too moist. Compact surounding soil if the needle not move after insert it in soil. Why does the soil ph meter results different values in a single pot? This may be due to uneven fertilization or uneven nutrient content in the soil, where fertilizers are concentrated the soil pH tend to be a c idic. When testing pH, the pointer does not move? When the soil pH value is between 6.0 and 8.0, the pointer fluctuates within a small range, but this does not mean that the pointer does not move. The ideal soil pH value for most plants is between 6.0 and 7.0.
