When the author began his career as a photographer, he was welcomed as a still photographer on film projects by the Shanghai-born, Hong Kong-raised director Wong Kar-wai, including "Happy Together" (original title: 春光乍洩) (1997) and "In the Mood for Love" (2000).
Through the invaluable experience of being on set with the master of cinema, Wong Kar-wai, he captured moments with famous actors such as Tony Leung, Leslie Cheung, Maggie Cheung, and Gong Li, portraying their natural selves, close to their true selves, in between takes.
